The Logistic Hub
SKARABORG LOGISTIC CENTER
Skaraborg Logistic Center (SLC) in Falköping is a strong cluster for freight transport by road and rail. The logistics center is strategically located with smooth connections to both the Western and Southern main lines. The center has direct train connections to the port of Gothenburg, northern Sweden, Italian Cremona and German Duisburg. SLC is one of Sweden's most sustainable logistics locations.
About Skaraborg Logistic Center
Skaraborg Logistic Center is a collaboration between the business community, Falköping municipality and the public sector. The proximity to Skaraborg's business community with several industrial and logistics operations creates synergies that provide efficient and sustainable transportation both nationally and internationally.
Efficient rail transport
There are many reasons to choose rail transport over trucking. One freight train replaces about 40 trucks, which leads to a minimization of transport carbon dioxide emissions, as well as reduced congestion on the roads. The good conditions for efficiency improvements and joint transport also mean that the prices for rail transport are competitive.
Skaraborg Logistic Center expands
Skaraborg Logistic Center is continuously expanding with heavy investments. In 2023, a new transfer yard was completed. This creates new conditions for future expansion around transshipment between train and truck. The transfer yard is dimensioned to be able to handle train sets of 750 meters. The investment is expected to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emissions by 14 million kilograms of carbon dioxide per year.

Dryport Skaraborg
Dryport Skaraborg is Skaraborg's own dry port and part of Skaraborg Logistic Center. The dry port is an important logistics hub that acts as an extension of the Port of Gothenburg. Here, goods are transported by rail both into Sweden and out to Europe or via the Port of Gothenburg. Dryport Skaraborg gives the Skaraborg region major competitive advantages and proximity to the global market.
